Gigabit may make sense if a very large download or upload must finish quickly. It can also help when many high-resolution streams or cloud-gaming sessions run at once, though most homes stay below that point.

Compare the speed you need with the provider’s typical speeds, not just the plan name.
Remember that higher Mbps alone does not guarantee lower latency or better Wi-Fi coverage.
If your near-router tests pass but a room fails, improve Wi-Fi before upgrading the plan.
